The latest chart on weather.com shows it coming thru southwest VA Monday pm with 45mph winds.

Hurricane Katia will hit the eastern coast of Mexico, last I heard yesterday.

Yep  things are not looking good so far if it takes the wrong path it could encounter 2 dozen more power plants and add the X10 solar flare that should hit us tonight. It appears that Florida is being evacuated in the southern part. I hate to think that there are two more hurricanes that could also take the same path.

I have known several people that survived Florida hurricanes and they would probably not make it through this one. While thinking they could.

I also have family in orlando and cape coral. They have dealt with hurricanes in the past. My uncle and aunt dealt with hurricane charlie, then another two weeks later. His house was the only one undamaged in the entire neighborhood.

I'm so glad that I'm living in the Rocky Mountains......same for you too, huh Byron? .....my brother says he's going to "ride it out" in Deltona.  He also owns property in New Smyrna Beach, which is really going to take a hit if the Hurricane goes up the East Coast.....
