And here in southern PA northern MD 99% of the trees are still GREEN. At this time here trees have changed to yellow, oranges, reds, and leaves are coming off like crazy. Not this year. Tonight we are in for the first frost. I wonder if we will have any fall colors at all this year.

I think that's the signal for the trees to start turning. Our first frost date was supposed to be 9/15.

We had some light frost here about a week or 10 days ago, and SOME snow, up in the high country. It has since warmed back up ala Spring time. Was only down to 45 degrees last night! It's now hunting season here, and the hunters are all bitching about how dry it is, and no snow for tracking. It's supposed to be 30% chance of RAIN here today. Most unusual, for this time of year. Usually, any precipitation this time of year is a dusting of powder snow, NOT rain.....we're at 4750 feet elevation here in the Valley floor, so rain this time of year is a little unusual.....and warm.....the Colorado River does need the rain, though......

Light frost this morning, has been mid 60's two days. some of the trees lost leaves early due to no ran, then came ran after that the frost came. I saved most of my Peppers!

Same here, to the south of you. Most trees are still green. Some trees are half bare, with leaves still green. I have never had a birthday when the leaves weren't in peak colors. The colors that are starting to show are pallid. Two nights ago, we had first frost. Last night we had first freeze. Tonight, second. There was no wind-down of summer this year. In the same day, it went from 80* daytime to 40* a night.
