  • regardless of the circus of the stars and the ongoing bullshit bread, I sincerely hope all levels of human exploitation start coming to public notice, from the darkest to the seemingly minor, in the fullest way possible. I think most people would fight to fix this shit right away, if the diversions and doubts were lifted even momentarily. Indeed the powers that be must dread our awakening, because peace and love aside, the people will be a caged lion released, upon awareness of all that is happening. Humans are hardwired for revenge, especially when it comes to children. We can manifest those revenges at the speed of thought, as we often do. Age old manipulations of the people are backfiring in fantastically huge ways. We are humans, and we are taking over. You can see it happening, all games aside, human justice is here, right now. Time for many to answer.

I'm starting to enjoy the show.

  • Just adding my 2 cents  - Mr. Lauer does not seem to be the type to risk his career by abusing a coworker like that other guy Bill O'Reilly.   Who knows what really happened.

  • I agree Carolyn!

And as W&R stated, it's small potatoes.  Now they are going to crucify Matt.  Has anyone heard who the colleague was that he allegedly abused?  This allegedly happened in 2014.  Then they say more possible incidents happened.   They are blowing this thing up too big it's not worthy of this!

  • this will give them something to talk about instead of more substantial news. It will be discussed over and over, until the next inconsequential controversy is used to distract from truly important headlines that stand the risk of going viral if given attention.

Lauer is small potatoes, an acceptable loss as part of a new social trend. Real news would be a Rockefeller(Matt Lauer's owners) getting arrested for pedophilia, and extortion.

  • NBC has fired its leading morning news anchor Matt Lauer over sexual harassment allegations, the network’s president for news said in a memo to staff on Wednesday.

“On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer,” Andrew Lack, the NBC News president, said in the memo.

He said the allegation against Mr. Lauer “represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”

“While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

Mr. Lauer’s co-host, Savannah Guthrie, announced the news on “Today” on Wednesday morning. Appearing on the verge of tears, Ms. Guthrie said, “All we can say is we are heartbroken; I’m heartbroken.”

She described Mr. Lauer as “a dear, dear friend,” and said she was “heartbroken for the brave colleague who came forward to tell her story.”

Calling Mr. Lauer’s resignation part of a national reckoning, she continued, “How do you reconcile your love for someone with the revelation that they have behaved badly?”
