I agree with his policy, except for one thing, which isn't clear.  If a former drug user cleans up his/her act, they should be able to get welfare if they need it.  Why are murderers and rapists entitled to eat and drug users aren't?  Non-violent drug users who have stayed clean (in NC it is one year) can then be entitled to food stamps, if they need it.  Another way the system is rigged is no one will hire people with criminal histories and that needs to change. Around here, half the people don't have driver's licenses and driving on suspended is a common offense.  But how else will you get around?  It is non-sensical and destructive.

Drug distributors are a different story.  Sanctions should be tough to discourage the practice, that brings so much misery to society.

I agree with you Cheryl, if you don't allow people a chance to escape the systems hold of fines and suspensions you create a continual jail population. I watched this going on in Arizona, there was little hope of escaping without help.

Absolutely.  It's punishment for the rest of your life, AFTER you've paid your debt to society, which is wrong.

Now some of the states have come up with a brilliant plan if you owe money and are late they take your license away so you can't get to work. In AZ they give fines of $175.00 for sleeping on city land next to the Colorado river, when they don't pay the fine they go to jail, when they get out they owe jail costs of $35 a day court costs and their original fine of sleeping on city property that now has interest attached. You are not allowed to leave that town if you owe them money and they will come get you. People in Bullhead City wear T-shirts saying came on vacation can't leave I am on probation.

Trump should pardon all the non-violent drug abusers and reduce the prison population, that would in turn cut the Private Prison Business profits controlled by the Cabal.

This crap has to stop.
