Winter Weather Is Here

It's supposed to get down to -10 to +5 tonight, depending on location.  Right now, it's lightly snowing.  More coming this weekend, preliminary estimate is 6-12" (again).

  • 4 inches of snow here over night.

  • Your area is turning into a frozen banana belt.

Thirties over twenties all week, here in Colorado's "Banana Belt".

  • The 6-12" was a bust.  Doesn't look like more than what we got in the first hour yesterday (an inch, at most).  Heard sleet hitting the windows last evening and freezing rain this morning.  Flurries this afternoon.  But the roads are icy and it's not getting much above freezing today or tomorrow.  Tuesday and the rest of the week will hit the mid-to-upper 40s.

  • we have three days in the 20's then six days of snow, looks like winter is finally here damn it.

  • The 6-12" looks like a bust.  Snow started falling an hour before the watch period and after 45 minutes and an inch on the ground it pretty much stopped.  There was light snow fall, but not much more accumulation.  Now it's sleeting.  The forecast was changed to 3-6" of snow with a light ice accumulation.

  • Light sleet all night trees full of ice they never lost it even when it got to 37 shorty today then stating falling again still raining.

  • Last week we had one evening of -1 degree here in the banana belt of Co., followed by several single digit nights.  Got 2 little 4inch snow storms right after that..... Most unusual for here..... temps are now back to near normal for the season.... Brrrrr.....

  • Winter has been low in 30's to high in 40's  most of the time very little snow. Very strange.
