Hi Mary, I have a mutt mix, I think, looks like Nubian, and a few with Alpine/Boar mix. My primary buck is definetely an Alpine/Boar half-breed, and he is beautiful. I don't do this in any way professional, or along any accepted practices. The intent all along for me is to figure out how to live in the AfterTime with goats being a part of the mix. So, anything that I think will not be available during the AfterTime I either don't do, or I'm trying to figure out how to do within a small family homestead way. For example, this year we interplanted wheat in a dryland pasture mix. We are by no means farmers, absolutely clueless, every day I am learning new things!!!, Would love to hear more about your goats, and if you've been successful in the cheesemaking, buttermaking..... :-)
