JimB lost his beloved Bear a year or so ago, but he replaced him. You should bring in some new life to the family so you don't feel so much loss. My son is doing chemo and I'm getting him a dog and cat, the biological cure for depression.
I had to put Boo down this year. She had quit eating, drinking and could hardly walk any more. Another heartbreak. All I have left now is YO YO (my dog) I cant handle all these heartbreaks any more.
When my nitty kitty wants treats, she will sit next to me and if I do not get out the treat bag, she will tap me on the arm till I do so. She's got me trained!!! :p

I am sorry to hear. It is tough to lose a beloved pet (or anyone beloved).

How about those eyes! She has me well trained! She sleeps with me and taps me on the arm if I interfere with her comfort zone.
One more heartbreak on the way.
