  • Thanks, Don.

  • Good site. It does show quite a few going right now.

I used to monitor Iris on a daily basis but no more. The site is no longer trustworthy.

  • Don  I agree with the solar radiation, neutrinos and anything else that is hitting the earth to be the cause. Several times in the past couple years I have gone to this site which I keep as a short cut and have found 30 or more volcanoes erupting at the same time. http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/erupting_volcanoes.html  I find it funny how the eruptions seldom are between Mexico and Alaska when there are so many volcanoes there that are active. click to enlarge the map.

  • Thanks for the link, I added my 2 cents on that post.

  • According to one source, apparently 15 are continuously active and 40-50 erupt over the course of a year. So 35 at the same time is unusual.

  • How many volcanoes, on average, usually erupt at one time?  Anyone know?

  • Keith,

I thought the same thing. You would think the sky would have darkened by now. Maybe it has but not noticeable yet. One thing for sure there can be no doubt that major forces are affecting the planet.

Has there ever been so many simultaneous eruptions.
