  • That's what I've been saying for years.

  • Right, Sandra.  And if you need an oral rehydration solution (such as dehydration from diarrhea), it is sugar and water.

  • The first step in any medical emergency is saline solution and they are not running out of it just running away with it. Their holes in the ground have tons of water and food. things are going to get dangerous or better we are at a turning point and I think we will win but it may get pretty rough before we do.

  • That's what I'm thinking.  I mean salt and water...in short supply?  Or did we suddenly run out of plastic to make the IV bags?  And Velveeta cheese... plastic again (er, I mean...  ;-)

Oh, and if you need to improvise a saline IV, use a hot water bottle and food grade tubing and insert through the rectum (just like an enema).  Also works for someone who is vomiting or can't take it through the mouth.  This also means have vaseline or KY jelly on hand for an easier insertion.  (I know, yuck, but we have to become more used to doing things the mechanical way.)

Oral rehydration recipes are abundant on the internet.  Print adult recipes, as well as children's.

  • Fresh bunker medicine sounds likely.
