Two articles, listed below. San Bruno is on top of the San Andreas fault.

This also raises the question, how does one prepare for such an event?

Short of you and/or your family and home being blown up initially, it is survivable. First, just like with earthquake preparedness, you should educate your family on the now increasing MULTIPLE types of disasters that can happen. Have your bug-out bags packed and ready to go. Make sure you have a burn kit in your medical kit. Pre-plan where you will go if your house is destroyed or threatened, where you will regroup if separated. Having a pre-supplied retreat is the best, but Grandma's farm or a friend out in the country can also be pre-supplied.

My theory, posted last night, soon after the explosion, seems to be correct. Earth rumblings DID break the gas main, causing the San Bruno inferno! Major earthquakes may be about to erupt SOON around San Francisco!
That gas main was just yards away from the San Andreas Fault! Please see yesterday's two postings, appended below:
"Gas Main Broken Due to Earth Rumblings!" AND
"Look for San Francisco Pre-Earthquake Signs, Now!"

> The first few slides suggest that gas burst from the ground and and ignited. Earthquakes and ground rumblings can easily break gas mains, just as they have been breaking water mains all over the country. People, realize that these earth rumblings are rapidly intensifying, so we must unite to alert the people to plan ahead to protect themselves from these proliferating disasters. A massive brown dwarf star is approaching our inner Solar System, exerting gravitational and electromagnetic influences upon the core, mantle, and crust of our planet. The closer this brown dwarf star comes to us, the larger and more widespread will be the resulting natural disasters.

  • PX is a survivable event and getting prepared increases one's chances of survival, however, as Edina says, there are no guarantees. You could be the most prepared person imaginable and a sinkhole opens up under your survival retreat and swallows it whole, or a fireball takes it out, or water floods you out, or whatever. All we can do is prepare the best we can. Skills are the most valuable, along with tools. Who is to say your herds or flocks will survive? Getting out of known harm's way is a priority (move away from earthquake faults, coastlines, large bodies of water, volcanoes, areas with gas pipelines, etc. Learning primitive lifeskills should be a priority. Gathering useful tools with which to employ primitive lifeskills or knowing how to improvise is too. (We should start a thread on how to improvise.) But the most important thing right now is learning how to cope with the unimaginable devastation headed towards us because without mental and spiritual fortitude all the physical preparations in the world will be useless.
  • Again, it is insane to have gas lines under ground where earthquakes are a problem, especially in the area of the san andreas faultline.
  • These were my first feelings as well. I think this may be some of those "surprises" that the Z's mention from time to time. First thing for people here to do, is to access where the main gas lines are around their present locations, and if they plan to relocate somewhere else for a safe location, to check into that as well. Then follow-up on the above advice, if you can. It's conceivable to me that this could catch people even if they were travelling in route to work, or other places.

I think this is why I tell everyone that there is no guarantee. The variables are just too high, and all over the place. I call this a nexus point. There is a quote in a book called "The Age of the Unthinkable", that talks about the dynamics of a sandpile, or an avalanche. "Scientists call systems like the sandpile or the universe "nonlinear", precisely because their internal dynamics routinely disrupt the idea that you can expect a given action to produce the same reaction every time." I think this is what we are about to see very soon, where the pace of systemic change is happening so fast and on such a scale that we cannot honestly predict everything, or possibly, even anything...

I don't say this to frighten people, or to be unnecessarily alarmist. I say this more to be genuine, and to invite everyone to consider this. I'm seeing increasing subtle signs of this. The most important survival skill a person can have, and it also happens to be a vital lifeskill, too, is a direct connection to their source of inner wisdom, sometimes expressed as a hunch, or gut feeling.

To me, no matter who you are, where you are at, how much, or how little money you may have, whatever situation you may find yourself in----this particular relationship life skill is essential for improving your capacity to navigate the nexus.

And, it can be learned by anyone. Many of us Earth Changers already use this to some degree, in our daily lives. It can also be used more for guiding us step by step as we find ourselves coping with circumstances that we cannot imagine, predict, or even prepare for, no matter how hard we try to prepare.

For those of us who have been processing these events longer than others, lets pay attention to who needs an open heart, and a listening ear. To those of us who feel overwhelmed. Ask for help, now, while we can still be available to each other to help each other out.
