Hungarian Toxic Sludge Disaster, "Slightly" Radioactive

Now it's being reported the disaster was caused by "human error" and that it is slightly radioactive...its dust can cause lung cancer.

Ask yourself, how can a dam this thick fail by "human error"? This may have been caused by earth movement.

That company needs to reimburse those people for their losses. If I were those victims, I would be suing!

This event has hit close to home. At a recent meeting of my Hungarian Club, it was learned that one of our members here in Ohio, had a relative who was killed in the run-off. Seems the sludge was like a mini tidal wave of about 10-12 feet high.. and those people were just in the wrong place at certainly the wrong time..or maybe it was just 'their time'...

By the looks of it, it definitely looks like the damn just gave in.
This is toxic waste and probably just ate its way through.

Could this have been caused by a sinkhole, that got filled by the sludge. It seem that the section was sliced, like when slicing a load of bread. Maybe a sinkhole open, this part of the reservoir fell straight down and then the sinkhole got filled by the sludge. I can not image this being human error and then what would the error have been?

Yes, this type of situation will be happening more and more. I would worry about radiation or toxicity if anywhere near a facility like this.

The whole situation with this sludge thing bursting is disgusting. Why are corporations allowed to accumulate such large quantities of toxins in a large man made lake such as this? This is nuts! And then on the news the other day, they showed a map of the united states and had dots as to where similar sludge entrapments were located. I can only imagine when the earth begins to move more and more, more of these hideous toxic lakes will burst open, ruining people's lives.
