  • For anyone who suffers from fibromyalgia, MS or has diabetes this article may possibly be of some help:

    http://rhondagessner.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/a-killer-in-your-frid...

  • Okay, I'll check it out.  Thanks guys.

  • Cheryl Kim's doctor is probably in contact with other doctors like himself and could maybe help find one near you.

  • Great suggestion Kim. Acupuncture can certainly help with pain. Although not the same as fibromyalgia, my mother recently had a bout of the shingles - which can be quite painful -  and she had fantastic results from acupuncture.

I hope you can find a way to try it Cheryl.

  • I know most insurances do pay for medical acupuncture for pain management, however it would not surprise me if medicare wouldn't.

  • Yep, too far.  And I don't think Medicare pays for acupuncturists.

  • Cheryl, have you tried acupuncture?  A good acupuncturist can relieve fibromyalgia pain (Dr. Soliman can).  I knew of a lady (now in her late 60's) that went to several different specialists for fibromyalgia and did different types of big pharma medications.  Nothing worked so she suffered from fibro for 15+ years.  So in 2006 when she told me she did have it and that she went through all this and still was suffering and did not know what to do, I recommended my integrated M.D. (Dr. Soliman).  She did not hesitate she went to him and just had acupuncture (with electro stim) treatments once every 2 weeks.  2 months later, she called me about in tears thanking me for recommending Dr. Soliman because for the first time in more than 15 years, she was pain free.  Dr. Soliman is in Rockville MD (I assume too far from you).

  • Thanks, Peter.  I imagine juicing the leaf would be problematic because if you have the plant, then there is a presumption.

  • Cheryl, we all have to learn/understand our bodies and what they can and can't handle.

Sorry you have to endure some pain - I hope you have found some natural ways to reduce it.

You've probably tried all of the natural remedies for fibromyalgia in the following article - bar one (maybe?). I'm not suggesting you should break any laws (or any personal beliefs) but you just never know!

  • No, I don't like the taste of coffee.  As for other caffeine, CokeCola and black tea, it gives me a headache because it makes my blood pressure go up.  Sometimes I indulge, but not often.  No, I'm not Mormon, lol.  I just have a lot of sensitivities having had CFIDS/FM for 27 years.  I won't take the Rx for fibromyalgia, so I endure the pain.
