DC didn't get much either, yet some parts of Virginia got 20 inches.  Now the storm is hanging off the New England coast.

  • We didn't get anything this afternoon and the advisory is now cancelled.

  • Yeah, we got about 5.5 inches of snow, then it changed over to rain.  Then it was done by about 3 pm and was melting steadily.  Right now we have a ton of wet, nasty, slushy snow.  The snow was so wet daughter and her friend could not sled.

  • Well, after all the fanfare, we barely got an inch.  Up to two more inches forecast for this afternoon, so we'll see.  Glad it mostly missed us, though.

  • 5 inches here this morning and still snowing...

  • Now it says 2" to 6" with possible power outages.

  • We are forecast to get 6 to 12 inches tomorrow.

  • Then it changed to 1" to 5" around 6 p.m.  Now, it's 2" to 4", locally higher on the ridges (and I'm on one).  And what was holding steady as "heaviest snowfall between midnight and 6 a.m., is changed to midnight tonight to noon tomorrow.  Here we go...  It's been raining steadily since 4 p.m.  It only takes one branch to shut down the electricity.

  • It's been changed to 3" to 7" of snow.

  • Here we go.  What was previously forecast for tomorrow night was sleet.  It is now coming in tonight as 4" to 8" of heavy, wet snow.
