  • Between 1970 and 1998, I was aware of only one time.  We had an ice storm in the San Fernando Valley and my front yard was covered with ice pellets.  (This coincided with my sister coming for a visit from Alaska, and of course we accused her of bringing it with her!)  I haven't heard of any snow or ice storms since 1998.

I am talking of the Los Angeles Basin and the San Fernando Valley.  As you go a bit more northward, into the Santa Clarita Valley and northeast to the Antelope Valley there is occasional snow because it is the high desert.

  • Glad to hear it's there turn. :p
