THE MARKETPLACE

Advertise your products and services here. This is a free service of this Ning to our members, under the conditions stated below.....

This blog can be used for our members to advertise their products.  I've pinned it to the right column.  Though I have maintained a "no advertising" stance, I have reconsidered.  We are a diverse group spread all over the world but on-line we are family, friends, and neighbors, so I think this qualifies as "buying locally" (something I support).  Times are tough and I think this could help our members.  This ning will provide the free ad space.  However, we are not in a position to recommend or guarantee any products or services, nor will we be involved in any disputes.  It is strictly between buyers and sellers.  To reach our wider readership group, advertisers should provide an outside email address in their ads so non-members can communicate with them.

We are not going to allow people to sign up as members just to advertise.  New members will have to participate or be a member for a while before they can advertise.  These rules will likely change or be added to as problems arise (as they inevitably do in business).

With all that said, those who wish to place an ad can do so in the Comment section.  To kick this off, I know Weiynala offers essential oils and DesertRose offers colloidal silver (please post your ads, ladies).  So let's help our friends and neighbors out.  If you have a need for their items or other things that will be offered here, please consider buying from members first.

Need some ideas to start your own business?  Perhaps scouting used book stores for related (to the theme of this group) survival or spiritual books and selling them at favorable prices.  Same thing with thrift stores and military surplus stores... search them for iron cookware, camping-type equipment, backpacks (for bug-out bags) ... you get the idea.  For example, if you run across iron cookware in a thrift store and it is rusted, it can be cleaned off with naval jelly (or scoured off with fine sandpaper or steel wool) and re-seasoned.  (See http://www.lodgemfg.com/use-care-seasoned-cast-iron.asp.)  Iron cookware lasts for generations and is becoming quite pricey.

Providing useful items, used and at a fair price, will help group members, too, as inflation continues and puts new items out of the financial reach of many.  Second-hand (thrift) stores and repair shops are becoming an important part of the new emerging economy.

  • Lisa, you've been a member for a while, so it's okay.

  • I know this group is really grassroots and may focus more on natural or home-made products but I feel it's time to share my home business link for those that shop online so that you can get hot deals and cash back for shopping   the big brands we may already buy from, hope it's not too commercial for the members. My favorite thing is to comparison shop for camping gear and office supplies to stretch my family budget.

It's my personal link so if anyone needs assistance, it will message me directly: SHOP.com (think of it as Amazon with people power) Let me know if it's okay? Thanks

  • Diana, I am no longer a distributor of Melaleuca any more.  I just could not afford to stick to the monthly purchases of 35 points.

  • Cheryl said this would be a good place to put a link to my book. The Adventures of Diana, the underworld.  This is hard to do as my book files keep vanishing from my computer.   And it takes me hours to get them back from other sites where I posted them.  I will later try to post an entire chapter of the last war and the poleshift.

  • I am right there with you as far as the shows go.  The last one I went to, in LA, the booth alone was over 1,000, plus the hotel, airfare, oh, and meals... It was a disaster... Then, after we got there, the hotel it was in had a picket line against the hotel, so the people could not get through.  After I was all set up, the 'nice' lady came over and explained to me that, gee, we should have told you about the picket line, but then you would not have come.  And I said.. _____ u!  well.. I am supposed to be a 'nice' girl... It was fraud.. we paid for advertising that was not put out... nothing... So then, to be positive, maybe I am not supposed to go out and about any more.

  • Well.. Styx.. you know I am real... we have met before, I believe in Chicago at the Expo... I remember you and your hubby, though I was not out and about much...having to stay with my booth... don't see why you could not make your silver water... that would be so cool...

  • Oh, and I could use some.

  • Kim.. I used to be a distributor for Melaleuca.. and it has the BEST products, especially the laundry...but, all of them are beyond wonderful...

  • Greetings from Ohio... I totally agree we should support each other...

I saw magnesium fire starters for just 2.50 something cents at Harbor Freight... just today.. They are having a sale... and if you do not get it today.. they have another sale next week... or so...

And, how are we exchanging the phone numbers.. I'm in... absolutely, especially with the 'PTB' monitoring our every move... How about I email you?  OK...

I need colloidal silver.  I had a source nearby, but she closed her shop.  So, DR, would like info on that.. thank you...

I feel so stupid... I just now noticed this marketplace.. p.s.  Styx.. I love that name.. I looked at your web pages and it is just beautiful... I would love to come and walk your labyrinth...

Thank you, Cheryl... for everything you do...

  • There are other ways to supplement income if need be in this crappy economy.  One way is through Melaleuca.  Some friends have been doing this for a few months, and each month their checks grow.  Two of my friends recently became Directer II and are raking in an extra $800.00 per month (I am jealous!).  One just got her first check of $841.00.  The main thing is referring people and getting people signed up.  I am working on getting my first 8 signed up (I have 4 more to go).  If I can just get 4 more people, that would be awesome as that would help me get to director and get some income rolling in which I desperately need right now more than ever.  Right now, I am so broke it isn't funny due to lack of work.  You would think family would help me out and sign up for this but not even one has yet and I have more than 100+ cousins, aunts, uncles etc.  ARGH!  Makes me sad.  The thing is one can sign up for several months and then quit later if this is something that one does not want to stick with.  Just google Melaleuca they are a very successful company and have nice products.
