  • Gordon, thanks for the great update on that!
So, where did this rain land anyway?

Hey, I ran across a curiosity yesterday. There was a discussion about how the weather patterns looked like a W pattern across the country, from 2004-2008, then began to look like an O after that until now, and now taking on an elongated O shape. You know, it's possible I may have seen this on Gerard's blog. I can't remember, I was all over the place yesterday. I don't know if this observation is accurate, or not. But here's a thought, W. bush was in office during the W weather pattern, and Obama, who is often noted as O has been in office with the O pattern of weather. Curious??? and Silly, thought I'd mention this just for fun.... :-)
  • Hi All it is 1 am EDT on the coast of Maine. What was supposed to be a coastal storm has become a way inland storm. Instead of being from Portland to Eastport, it is Rangeley to Fort Kent. Here on the coast the temperatures are warm as hell, humid and the suction caused by the storm passing to the NW of the mid coast is creating fierce gusts. Not one drop of rain yet, probably won't get any at all. As weather patterns generally go west to east, it is strange that as this storm headed north, it headed west. Usually storms go up the coast, then over Nova Scotia and out to sea. This one was on the coast but from the mid Atlantic states to the northeast, it headed due inland. Almost the entire New England coast is dry now. That is ok with me, although we need some rain, not much, we were getting mighty tired of fog and drizzle. Odd storm though and we don't mind the wind. Refreshing really compared to the still air of the last week.
  • Shoot, I missed that, it was rained out, lol, hubby will be disappointed...
  • As for me, for now I'm high and dry, it's actually in the 90's here. However, I am too close to underground aliens, LOL, see the Dulce story... I'm watching my back, babes... :D
  • Somewhere else I read that they thought that millions could be flooded. This seemed extreme. Are you getting the same story where you're at?
  • Yeah, the wind has been blowing steadily all day here. I'm in the orange (medium threat level) zone. Didn't rain much today, some last night.
  • Thanks for letting me know, good luck tonight. Hope it doesn't knock out your reception for the Clif High interview, if you have satellite
