Peter, I totaly agree with you! In fact I feel the same way! I am spending time as always walking my dog and am building a small moder RR. Just trying to enjoy life.
Could be partly due to economic reasons - ie keeping people employed.
I also saw a documentary not so long ago where the Chinese had built many super cargo ships which have been left idle in the docks - not used as yet.
The pole shift is still a possibility Jim - I suspect the earth has not completed her journey as yet - but I'm not worrying about it. I've prepared as much as I can (as insurance against such a thing) but now want to focus completely on improving my spiritual awareness and enjoy life. I refuse to focus on disaster timelines and choose only to focus on a positive outcome.
I still think we can affect our future (through our thoughts and intentions) and that also we may be receiving a little external help as well.
How come thay never mentioned the pole shift? Seems that, that is what all the governments are getting ready for. A POLE SHIFT! And their large million person nocupied city may be their answer to the Denver airport! Or they just wanted to keep the construction workers off of welfare. ??

They could be creating scarcity. Their economy is on the brinks of collapse. Or they are getting ready for asteroid 2012DA14 fly-by.
