East Coast Earthquakes

Here in VA were really not known for earthquakes but here recently we are getting more and more which seem to be getting higher each time.  But the one today isn't on earthquake 3D nor was it posted any where else even though many witnessed it.  Just hope its not a peek into what is to come.

  • That has me wondering, he (Edgar) may mean VA beach will still be there for some reason after the earth changes.  There may be a separate small tectonic plate that is unknown that could actually rise slightly in that area.  Who knows?  But I feel that the area is not totally safe from tsunamis.  If Edgar says VA beach will still be there after the earth changes, I feel he is correct.
  • Very interesting, we were having dinner in a restaurant on the boardwalk at that time.  I just don't recall feeling any rumbling.  There wasn't any damage reported, correct?  Planes were really flying that day with a number of maneuvers - could have been that.  However, I do remember GMS stating that we would hear seismic booms during this period we are in which are related to the earth rumbling.

another write up about what happened the other day

  • Kim, there was a smidge of an earthquake in NJ; on the map it looked like Philly.  and then also in the New York area a few days back now.

Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach was very interesting and so glad I went there.  He is, as you know, the sleeping prophet and also the father of holistic medicine.  He established the Hospital of Enlightenment in 1928 which is no longer operating but ther eis a health center y spa, Massage School, Labyrinth, meditation garden, bookstore, library - and Atlantic University.  They house conferences and presentation and training sessions in various areas of holistic health (which I'm very interested in).  I wish I had more time to spend there.

I do recall from his material that Cayce said that Virginia Beach would be a safe area and haven't heard mention of any other areas in VA

  • Has anyone checked to see if dutchsinse has found any scalar activity in that area?

  • I have lived here all my life and i can say that the downtown norfolk area and downtown portsmouth area flood very easy with a hard storm, the tunnels collect water and low bridge underpasses collect water. If something big were to happen the people around here wouldnt be able to get out because 2 bridges are closed and being rebuilt so its just the interstate and everyone knows how bad an interstate can be during rush hour, cant imagine how it would be if it was panic.
  • There was a small quake in Philly recently?
  • I've wondered about that, Brian.  How will it not be hit with rising waters/tsunamis?
  • There isn't anything noted on USGS for this area.  My son called from home in northern MD because our home alarm system was going off for no apparent reason.  Our bilco doors are on the system and may have been rattled from the small earthquake in the Philly area.

Kim, the company my hubby works for has accounts in this region, including Fredericksburg.  This is the first trip to the beach though.  Basically, we're staying here at the company's expense - we can't afford vaca this summer so we are squeezing a small getaway in - will be leaving today; after I go to the Edgar Cayce Foundation.  Just taking a quick snack break with my daughter.  Beach is clean and beautiful, heavy surf yesterday and today.  Plus my left ear had a long loud ring in the middle of the night and again today.  Time to leave here and get home.
