Magnetic North has moved

This morning, I had a peak at my compass. We have moved 3 dregree toward West since my last post about magnetic north moving. This has happen overnight because yesterday, magnetic north was at its usual spot on the compass.

  • Yes indeed it did. It must have been quite powerful to have change the magnetic north of Earth. Well now magnetic north is back to its normal position.

  • Earth has been being hit with a geomagnetic storm the past few days.

  • The Magnetic effect is now gone. The Compass since 6:00pm Pacific time has move back 2 degrees. I suspected something like this would occur. By tomorrow, magnetic north should be back to it usual position unless something else happens.

  • And there was a 6.1 quake in italy today.
  • Magnetic North is still unchanged at 3 degrees West of it previous position.

  • You are welcome Kim. I checked the compass this afternoon after work. The needle has not change yet. It will be interesting to see if the needle will go back to its initial direction.
