For almost a month now I have been searching for a valid reason why every bird in my pristene wooded area of northern Idaho is devoid of any birds and have found that this is happening elsewhere. The Autobohn society has also noticed this but gives a lame excuse to the New York Times as you will see in the link below. Here is what I have found from this site and one other. Iowa all but Jays. Central Oregon all. N.Idaho all. South of San Frisco all small birds. St Louis MO all small birds.Memphis almost no small birds. Florida small birds. British columbia small gone or few.Isreal small.New Hampshire small birds and insects   Along with these reports comes other missing creatures, like all bugs or very few as I have experienced. Also cats are dissapearing. The fact that this is happening is very distressing, they are the sensitive ones and leave when things are not right. This happened very quickly so the MSM twist is not valid in blaming man for the change. Something is very wrong and our friends are giving us a heads up. The fact that this is so wide spread it has to be a planetory or radiation problem. WHAT DO YOU THINK AND FEEL FREE TO REPORT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR AREA. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/19/opinion/19tue4.html

  • One thing I've noticed is that our property has seen some new growth of flowering plants.  In the front of our home, a bird must have dropped a seed and this gorgeous flowering morning glory grew like wild with purple and pink blooms.  Now I see this ground cover ivy in the front as well that will be keeping.  Trying to avoid stone and mulching so things are growing including weeds.  Need to get loads of bulbs in and other ground cover to fill in the gaps to prevent weeds.
  • About  once a week here there are birds migtating here they usually stay overnight and are gone by earyl morning. The temps are going down so there should be some geese soon.

  • It's similar to the whales and other sea life beaching themselves; the birds are in flight though.  Very sad.
