We only got a" dusting" of snow here in Western Colorado. Looks to be a long cold Winter. We usually see no snow before Thanksgiving here on the Western Slope.....Denver, Golden, Boulder, and Colorado Springs are on the "Front Range," and get the really crappy snow storms. Of course, the mountains, where the ski resorts are at, get piles of powder snow each year. Not to be confused with the heavy, wet snow of Ohio, New York, and most of the Northeast.... Denver rests on the Great Plains, NOT in the mountains. It was the base camp, for all the gold mining going on in the mountains..... It is however, at an elevation of one mile high. Think Clint Eastwood in High Plains Drifter.....hah!
