I have been watching this closely for a couple months now to prepare my family for what is surely bound to happen here. For two weeks now people there have been eating cats and dogs they find in the streets. According to the last report from the government there is only a few days of food left to be distributed to the starving people. Four years ago the country was disarmed so they can't even hunt for food. Where is the Red Cross and the UN ? nowhere. Why aren't other countries helping. Is it because the other countries are also in financial collapse? Below is the rest of the story.

I think we will watch this happen in Mexico first...
might buy us a little more time...
also, I think that as long as there are still restaurants (mostly fast-food) open for business, the hungry will continue to pan handle there...
I would much rather buy an extra burger there, than have these same desperate people just show up at our door...

I have heard that before although I doubt if it will stop the people coming anyway. The two local churches should be warning their flock and they are not. The closest food bank is crying for food right now. I think I am going to talk to Pastor that is close to me tomorrow, hopefully he is connected to the internet I know several people that go to his church that do not know what is going on.

Jim Rawles suggested that everyone donate food to the local church and let that be the distribution point, to prevent people from coming to your door. He thinks it is the safest way to help people.
