  • I am in agreement with this. I have spent years checking the USGS dailies and do see an increase in frequency. I do not believe it to be simply a case of new sensors being installed in various locales. The frequency has increased in areas that have long been "wired." kf
  • don't forget that we have to counter the arguments that more modern earthquake measuring equipment, and more of these devices are now placed around the world, and the internet, have contributed to some of these increases. This are the counter arguments that will come back...it does seem encouraging that the quakes show increases >2003 after px became for real

  • Just as the Mayan elders predicted in december 2009 that there will be an uptick in earth changes in the year 2010. So far they have been correct (with the big ones of chile, haiti and elsewhere).
  • It's not just the size of the quake it's the depth and the locations that counts. Number of quakes is equally as important at the depth and location. What appears be getting worse are the number of quakes at varying depths amongst the different layers of the earths crust (eg lithosphere, transistion region, core) around the plate boundaries as well as intra plate quakes. This is a sure sign of plates loosening because of the impact of px. Shallow quakes are interesting only when there are corresponding multi earth layer quakes or other earthly events, weather or geologic. On their own, they might just reflect normal plate tectonic movement. However, number of quakes is an issue with PX, as well as the quality of the quake context. Both count.
  • Might I suggest that you produce stats one way or the other yourself to be shared with the group rather than sitting back and criticizing the post. Produce evidence that refutes the post or that supports it. It's that simple. If one cannot be constructive, whether through criticism or support then it is best to not say anything at all.

Actually, it might just be your imagination and internet hysteria. There are carefull records kept of such things. How about some real stats on it?
