They really don't. It's the equivalent of putting up a chain link fence to keep mosquitos out of your yard. Even an N95 mask doesn't work. Says so right on the box.

We in Ireland, were supposed to be out of 2 meter distancing by 22 October 2021 but it didn't happen! We are almost near a lock down again!
