GM Gene Drive, time to get genetically altered by engineered viruses

I'm posting this for people to be aware of this development in genetics.  Superpowered, edited genes that spread like viruses through their hosts, to wipe out entire populations, or transform them into something more manageable. First trial, mosquitoes.

Some believe it could even be used as a terrorist bio-weapon directed against people or livestock because gene drives – which enable GM genes to spread rapidly like a viral infection within a population – will eventually be easy and cheap to generate.

Guess we can thank the psychopaths at Syngenta, Monsanto, and others for this new hazard to all life on Earth (probably an ancient hazard rediscovered). No wonder they don't want to label genetically altered food.

I do not doubt that anything that will depopulate the planet will come into play and will be used even as faulty as the science is.
