We here in the Washington DC area were awaked by a quake of 3.7 magnitude. I am about 5 miles from the epicenter, was dozing and waiting for the alarm and at 5:04 am I heard (what I thought was) a bomb go off and felt the shock waves roll through the house, My first, but not last Quake.
THAT NEVER happens here LOL.

"USGS website self-reporters in Gaithersburg and Jessup described the quake as having a Modified Mercali Intensity as high as 4. An MMI of 4 is the equivalent to the vibration of heavy trucks passing, and can cause pictures to swing and household objects rattle."
However, poor Dillsburg, Pa has been experiencing micro-quakes, the largest being a 3.1 so far since October of 2008. Well over a thousand of them since 2008. This kind of phenomena is not normal for the area.
