Morocco's geophysical centre said the quake struck in the Ighil area of the High Atlas with a magnitude of 7.2.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) put the quake's magnitude at 6.8 and said it was at a relatively shallow depth of 18.5km.

  • And if originally rated at a 7.2 I would take that as truth as USGS will down grade quakes (most of the time).

  • How awful.  In prophecy today we are reminded by Jesus and Our Lady to stock up on three months of food and water.  You don't know where the next major quake can happen.  And many are completely unprepared.
