Status Red warning for seven creunties as Darragh to bring 'extremely strong' winds (ireland)

A Status Red wind warning has been issued for counties Mayo, Clare, Galway, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo and Wicklow as Storm Darragh approaches.

     "Met Éireann recorded gusts of 141km/h at Mace Head in Co Galway at 11pm last night, while gusts of 120km/h were recorded at Shannon, Co Clare, and gusts of 115km/h were reported in Co Cork."

    A total of 375,000 customers in the Republic are without power as the storm passes through. In Northern Ireland, some 46,000 homes and businesses are without power."
