Met Éireann has issued Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for Wednesday ahead of the arrival of Storm Agnes.

 

Both warnings will be in effect from 7am to midnight on Thursday.

  • Traffic disruption, fallen trees and power outages as Storm hits

     

    The storm is tracking northwards over Ireland, with Met Éireann saying it will be very windy with outbreaks of heavy rain, resulting in possible spot flooding.

    A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford. It is in place until 5pm today.

    A Status Orange rain warning has also been issued for Waterford, Cork and Kerry. These counties could see spells of heavy and occasionally intense rain until 3pm.
