Academics have identified a possible link between artificial sweeteners and heart disease in a new study, finding that food additives "should not be considered a healthy and safe alternative to sugar".

My grand mother would use saccharin in tea instead of regular sugar. Everytime I drank a glass of her tea, I would get a stomach ache. I stopped drinking her tea realizing it was the saccharin. Back then it came in dissolving tablets. Natural sweeteners need to be used like honey.
