  • The only reason that China is in the tech game at all is because of spying on and the theft of US intellectual property.

They are a house of cards waiting for a soft breeze to make them collapse. Tyrannical systems fail when trade markets are truly free, because they simply cannot compete, by a long shot, and no other method can make as much money (ie. taxation).

Also Americans know how to take gambles, it is part of our culture to do so.  Chinese are horrible at gambling, they can't even make their hands throw the dice unless they are given permission to do so.

We are so ahead of the game, but they are too dim witted to fold.  So I guess we will take all.

  • Yess indeed! The only reason that China is in the tech game at all is because of spying on and the theft of US intellectual property. A tyrannical political system does not encourage innovation, only fear based compliance.,

    "Chinese communism is not reformable"

This is one of the most important points made in the article in terms of deciding what to do about China. I would go on to say what China has for a government is not communism, and so the Chinese government is not representational at all, it is a gangster run country. Like all "communist" regimes before it, it is only masquerading as communism when it is instead a dictatorship. One the USA has been propping up like so many others. Just like Japan in WWII, China is a monster of our own making, we Americans let our politicians whore themselves out to them. Now we have an unpleasant mess to clean up if we can get past the denial.

The sooner we accept the world won't move forward until we have dealt with China, the sooner we can take action to force that change.

Space is the high ground and the United States needs the lead role in controlling that high ground, not because that would be fair for the world, but because it would be fair for Americans. We will be the first to fetch a fortune from an asteroid, not the Chinese, and it won't be a gov't program that does it.

China cannot win a technology race with the USA because government incentives to invent technology simply cannot match free market incentives to invent technology. Not even close, and gov't money always runs dry.  The markets China sold to (wall st.) were never free markets. Watch what happens once that changes.

  • Trump gave improved relations with China it the old college try. Whether or not he really expected it to work is up to speculation.  He cannot be accused of war mongering and so far, has not been goaded into starting one with either China or Iran.  To use one of his favorite phrases, " We will see what happens.
