Happy Thanksgiving to all. While at family dinner today, of course, the Rainbow Bridge crash /explosion came up. One relative, nurse type, said absolutely the crash was an accident, and nothing more.
Seems nurse works with someone who is closely connected to the daughter of the couple involved. Seems the couple was crossing the bridge when the gentleman had a medical event and unable to control the car. The wife then tried to steer, but only ended up steering into the side rails which sparked the car into a catapult leap and subsequent crash/explosion. Both husband and wife were killed.
Family member's friend lost both parents in a horrible way. While we extend our deepest sympathies, we were just as relieved that acts of terrorism have not reached so close home.

When I watched the video of the guy explaining what he witnessed, it sounded like it was not a terrorist attack. Glad it was not a terrorist attack, but sad to hear it was a medical event. The passenger should have tried to shift the car into neutral, steer and try to get the foot on the brake.
