    2028 is too far. Even if you rotate

    Paul you are to rotate your stock.  Use the older stuff, and replace with newer.  I have a neighbor who lives 2 miles from me who stores water, canned goods, has all kinds of survival stuff preparing for anything that could come down the pike.  She rotates everything.  She has 4 acres, raises chickens, goats, and grows most of their own food.  She has a big wood stove in her basement, and recently got solar panels (lucky duck).  Took them many years though to get fully stocked.  Her family helps out because they know something could happen.  She is very fortunate.
