I have to add to close the toilet lid when you flush. Rushing water aerosolizes and coats the entire bathroom. I'd keep the toothbrush in the medicine cabinet or get one of those little plastic covers for it. You find them in Wal-Mart's travel products aisle of the Health & Beauty section. Same thing with your razor, before it rusts. Keep it covered (after it dries) or keep it in the medicine cabinet. Same thing with towels, except it's probably better to keep them out of the bathroom. I have a towel rack over my bedroom door and just take the towels in and out. It's really best to have very little exposed in the bathroom.
Same thing with kitchen sponges. Replace them frequently. With plastic brushes, a weekly soaking in alcohol can keep them safe.
As we head towards seriously hard times, it is good to practice strict hygiene because medical care will become sketchy. Practice Prevention!
