#1. Check expiration dates on food and water.
#2. Check expiration dates of all meds.
#6. Have some junk silver (90% silver) on hand for things you can't barter for. It's easily recognizable, pre-1965 US coins. Also, beans, bullets and band-aids will become common barter coinage. At first paper money will probably be accepted, but as time goes by it will devalue.
#7. Coffee, tea, chocolate, razors, shaving cream, personal hygiene, etc. Keep adding to the list.
