My opinion is that they have already done this and are asking for public support. I have been studying trans-humanism and it seems like they are moving ahead while giving lectures in many colleges while being given government money. I think we are just being tricked to comply with their agenda.

"In other words, these new humans will no longer have souls because the soul will be removed." This does not seem like a true statement. Genetics is for the physical form. Genetics do not create souls. Souls are ageless and timeless and enter the body sometime prior to or at birth.
What might be the danger is the unseen consequences of intervening in a natural process, in general. Another danger is what scientists could do without the parents' knowledge, such as altering genes or including nanochipping at that basic level, or including some form of control over that life form. Think of Jurassic Park and how they controlled the dinosaurs by making them dependent on the amino acid lysine. If things went out of control, just don't feed them lysine and they die.
