I meant to say, "The Stand movie was pretty true to the book."

Yes, it was quite the saga, wasn't it?

The Stand book was pretty true to the movie. I haven't gotten back to the movie yet. Still trying to finish up last minute shopping.

I finished watching it Saturday. I found it emotional in some parts. I have read most of SK novels, but put him down after "IT" was made into a movie. They didn't make that one into a movie well. They left out so many parts compared to the book.

I finished Part 1 last night, where Stu has escaped the Vermont version of CDC (didn't you just hate Dr. Denninger?). I read the book 3 or 4 times and have seen the movie a couple of times over the years. But this time, it's different. It feels different. Heavy, depressing. I don't know. Not enjoyable to watch. Maybe it's because it's almost like the playbook for the Wu-Flu. It is well-done, though, and worth watching at least once. Stephen King appears in it as Tommy the Truck Driver, once they are in Colorado and it's snowing and he's driving the snow sled.
