  • My sons returned from Gulf Shores, Alabama today.  They went deep sea fishing last Wednesday.  They told me that they had great luck fishing.  They would drop their lines in the Gulf and within seconds they would have fish caught on all three hooks.  they kept the fish they could and threw back those too small or too large (snapper season finished 2 days earlier).  They reported that there was no obvious evidence of the oil spill or it's lasting effects.  Now I realize these are young men but they were really looking because of their concerns for the Gulf and her plight.  I feel just a little bit better and much more optimistic but, as we all know, there is much that is unseen to the untrained eye.  It is comforting to note that they did not find a waste land.

    Cheers,
