  • Byron, it's been real warm here in Colorado also, although not out of the "normal" range for August.  We have gotten a weekly thunderstorm, which keeps the country from drying out.  Supposed to be T storms this afternoon, tonight, and tomorrow.  Most of this moisture can be back tracked to a "pineapple express" flow into Ca. from the Hawaiian Islands, and from there on into Colorado, as we are directly "downstream" from them most of the time.  In winter, most of our flow is from the Pacific Northwest.

It has been very hot here for a couple weeks already. My lawn is almost all dead. Now there are a couple days of thunder storms coming and lightening could set the forests a blasé easily.
