Here is a personal message from someone who lives in that area:

..."Forecast to landfall in Port OConnor Texas..makes for bad weather
and high water in Louisiana/Mississippi.

"They are sandbagging and all of the oil ships are coming into
port...what a disaster!!!! God help us all. That rig will be emptied of
all personnel and all support will have to leave the gulf including the
helicopters.. talked to Katie...they will make up their
minds...Evacuation of far southern regions are now occurring. Pray that
this storm doesn't drift NEward. It could upgrade to Cat1 or Cat2.
Enough now to cause oil to come in. That is why they are sandbagging.
Have friend that has helicopters working day and night. They will work
until they HAVE to come in.
