With rare exception, every time I get on this site, I get multiple shutdowns before the site stays up. ALSO, and really disturbing and irritating is the ringing in my ears. There is only one other thing that I do that causes the ringing in my ears so badly and that is listening to Alex Jones on my iTouch while trying to go to sleep. ODD, just odd, to me!

... could certainly be the newest version of Firefox... but shouldn't I have trouble with more than this site - and emails I receive with videos from a political activist? The selectivity is what's odd to me. How might I find out? I honestly thought it was my security software, but the question still arises - why does it react only to certain site/email videos?

Yes, it does seem odd.
I wonder if Ning isn't compatible with your browser? I couldn't email after I upgraded to IE9.
