This is a very interesting article to read. It give historical information about previous evens recorded in marine sediment.

Thanks Paris for the map. I saw another version of the map at another web site. This one is a lot clearer than the other one i saw. It is unbelievable the number and strength of the earthquakes on the west coast.

I found this map of historical quakes in BC/Canada. You can see how the fault line is runs off the coast of Vancouver Island and takes a turn inward and cuts through Washington.. In comparison the rest of BC is quite safe as its at least a hundred miles away from the fault.
