Yes I can believe that with all the chemicals they put in commercial sunscreen. One thing my dad never used sunscreen, yet he still is popping basal cell skin cancer on his face and ears however I do believe that chemical sunscreen can increase skin cancer risk. As to coconut oil, cool!! I have 3/4 of bottle left of coconut oil sunscreen from Oahu. I will have to remember to use it. Plus the natural sunscreens with zinc in it are supposed to be good too.

Speaking of coconut oil - I was reading that they have finally proven what I've always believed and that is the fact that sunscreen does cause skin cancer from all the chemicals. I was looking for a safe alternative and found that coconut oil will give you a natural SPF 8 and it's great for your skin.

That's really good to know. Thanks, Sandra.
Kim, I did it once. Ick is right. I'm going to try coconut oil to see if it is any better. However, if dentists are not available, it's a home remedy.
Sandra, we have these lovely Dogwoods all over the place and they are in bloom right now.
I don't think I could swish oil around in my mouth for 15 or 20 minutes daily. Ick.
