I'll tell you my "shoe shine boy" story from two days ago at Walmart. I had scored some bleach online and had gone to pick it up. When you go to "Pick Up", you have to tap a screen and check in. The attendant comes out and you have to sign a screen, with your finger. I asked her how this will work when we will be wearing gloves and she told me in her most authoritative tone (that a 18-20 year old could muster) that there is no panic, that everything is fine. I pointed out my question was for the future, not for right now. She said the exact same thing (scripted). Can't argue with the shoe shine boy (or the Walmart clerk), so I gave her the old, "oh, okay, thanks for setting me straight" routine, collected my bleach and left.
Oh, baby, they're out there.
