One commentator said: "This is not good at all. That color looks very much like Tyrian purple. It is a natural organobromide compound seen in molluscs and rarely found in land animals. The squirrel has too much bromide in its system possibly from all the bromide laced frack water its been drinking. I would raise the alarm. This could mean bladder cancer for humans down the road."

There are ten squirrels in my back yard. I even built them three houses and feed them every day.
Alex, I thought the same thing about the pet being dyed, but his eyes are blue! That would indicate something new.
Lorraine, it is not that easy to get rid if a bad govenor. Here in Wisconsin we are trying to recall Walker (R). But the republicans are trying every trick in the book to stop it. The latest thing is they are saying that they can not read many of the signatures so have to discount them. However next to the written signatures you had to print your name so they could read them.
I saw a video recently on a woman who had an abundance of squirrels in her area. She followed them and observed their habits and found that they were clean in their dietary habits.

Future food staple, so try to get over the queasiness...they don't carry anywhere near as many diseases as other rodents, tend to be abundant due to breeding habits and can be found in virtually every single environment on this planet except a few. Purple just means easier to target but pretty sure the bromide would find a great new resting spot in our livers....I did have one final thought, what if it was a pet that was dyed and escaped?
I've never tasted squirrel, nor would I want to. When my brother was a teenager he was big into hunting. He did kill a few squirrels and would pan fry them. I would hate it when he came home with dead rabbits, squirrels, etc etc. Argh.

Lorraine the ones at the top are the ones who caused all this stuff. Thay only care about money! But the little critter looks cute in that color! But won't blend in.
