Seems like an early Fall is coming

I've been watching the temperatures drop over the past few weeks.  We've been getting lots of cloud cover and rain, with temps in the low 80's/60's.  Last night the low dropped to 54*.  Today, it's sunny and the forecast has dropped again, 76/51.  Leaves already started turning a few weeks ago on the locust trees.  I'm in the Appalachians at about 2200' elevation.  I checked the prediction for winter this year and both the Farmer's Almanac and NOAA are calling for a mild winter for this area (out west is different).

  • They are calling for a mild winter here?  I just hope it isnt going to be too wet!

  • Today is suppose to be 80 and the next week is upper 60's  and the majority of the hummingbirds left early. Leaves all over the lawn. Almost no rain this brief summer that came July 15th. The whole summer we had to deal with smoke from fires all over the place. I was wondering if Rosemary is OK in BC they have been burning all summer, lots of our smoke is from there.
