  • Hi Kim, interesting how you were there as well. We could have crossed paths. :) Yes, the surf was very rough! Before we headed down there, I checked the reports on the weather channel which indicated rip current. The lifeguards were very active saving people and informing others about safety. I also checked the National Data Buoy service because of the conditions of the surf, but there wasn't any activity off the east coast.

I've seen this before, growing up on the beaches in the Boston area and it's related to the oil tankers off shore, not sure why it happens, occasionally, but it does. Keep an eye on that one though.
