The Moon in 1942

When I was a kid, I remember looking at the face on the Moon. I cannot recal what was the position of the Moon at that time to use for comparison. I have been looking at some old publications and came across this one. It was publish in an encyclopedia in 1942 by the Grolier Society Limited. Excuse the poor quality of the picture, but we can see very clearly what it was then as compare to today.

  • Yes. Indeed. This is interesting to be able to compare the two picture. If the axis of Earth has been affected by the recent earthquakes, and the wobble., it make sense.
  • Here Jason is a link to the 19 Mar full moon. There is changes.

  • Wow!! What a picture. It is funny because when My husband and I looked at the last full moon of 19 Mar 2011, the "eyes" were up close to 12 o'clock. Did you notice the same thing?
