How true, Shadow. In addition to all the man-made disasters-in-the-making such as nuclear plant meltdowns and toxic chemical plants releasing their poisons during earth changes and a pole shift, most of us are so unskilled in the ways of living close to the land and uneducated in survival matters that it is going to be a miracle that anyone survives.

Penny thanks for posting this, there is a certain trend to this story, and it is important to continue to monitor it.

How many people here are concerned about this winter, and what it will be like? If the winter in the Southern Hemisphere is any indication of what me may expect here in the Northern Hemisphere we will need to make some specific cold weather/winter preparations. I think Weiynala is correct, especially for folks in the northern tier, US East Coast, and northern Europe. Better to be prepared than not for extreme cold....
