I have a 6+ month supply of cat food. After stocking up last year, I kept rotating and keeping a 6-month supply. Good thing, too. The shelves are totally bare of the 32- and 40-can boxes of wet food. Kibble is at half stock and sand is always near depleted.

I have been seeing shortages of certain items in stores also and ever since the panic buying started in 2020. I am going to keep stocking up on dried items such as rice, beans, peas, lentils etc. There seems to be adequate supplies of this at grocery stores. And buy larger bags of kibble for the pets and rotate.

Good idea. Tonight's forage at Walmart revealed an entire open meat case was totally empty. TP/PT at half stock. Empty spaces in canned vegetables. I'm already shopping for Xmas in anticipation of worse shortages and higher prices.
